Question about torque specs on lug nuts, why do so many guys just rattle them on
Had a kid bring in a 2016 Civic last week with a warped front rotor and I asked who did his last tire rotation. Turns out a quick lube place in Buford hit every lug with an impact and never checked one with a torque wrench. I pulled out my clicker and showed him the difference between 80 ft-lbs and whatever those guys cranked down, probably 150 or more. I've seen this on maybe 15 cars in the last 6 months and it's a 10 minute fix that saves people hundreds. What torque wrench are you all actually trusting for daily use, because my old beam style is getting hard to read.
