Tuesday was a total disaster until the paint code saved me
Had a 2017 Chevy Silverado in for a rear quarter repair, matched the color twice and it was still off. Turns out the factory used a different tint batch that week, grabbed the backup code from the door jamb and it was spot on, anyone else run into weird factory paint variations like this?

Ugh, tell me about it! I had a Ford where the hood and fender were from different batches, GM is NOT the only one with that mess, I always snap a pic of the door jamb sticker BEFORE I even start mixing now.
