Two months of shooting Orion from my backyard got way better after I started stacking 200 frames instead of 20
I used to grab one or two good subs and call it a night, and my shots from the driveway here in Tucson always looked grainy and washed out. After watching a guy at the local club meeting explain how he stacks 200 short frames, I tried it on M42 and the faint dust around the core just showed up. How many frames are you all stacking before the noise finally calms down?
