TIL you can stack 40 phone shots of the moon in a free program and beat a single 20 second exposure
I shot the moon 40 times on my phone last Friday, fed the frames into the free stacking program, and got way more crater detail than any single shot ever gave me, so what free stacker do you all use for planets?
Wait, are you telling me I wasted years believing one long exposure was the only real way to shoot the moon? I used to think stacking was just for deep sky stuff and that phone cameras could never pull off that kind of detail. Then my buddy showed me his stacked moon shots and I honestly could not believe a phone took them. The crater edges were sharp instead of that blurry blob I always got. Now I want to try it on Jupiter and Saturn too, so which free stacker are you using?
