That free stacking app turned out to be real after I tested it on Orion
I kept seeing people rave about this free stacking software for deep sky shots and figured it was just hype from forum folks who never left the suburbs. Last week I finally ran my 40 minute Orion nebula set through it, 210 frames at 10 seconds each from my Bortle 6 backyard, and the result honestly stunned me. The background noise dropped way down and the dust lanes popped like I only ever saw in paid tutorials. I compared it side by side with the stacker I'd been using for 2 years and the free one pulled out more faint detail without me touching a single slider. Now I'm wondering if I wasted all that time on the other tool or if this is just a lucky one off. Has anyone else swapped stacking apps after a single night and seen this kind of jump?
