Blew $300 on a star tracker and it paid off in one night
Picked up a Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i off Craigslist from a guy in Denver. First clear night I used it, I pulled a stacked shot of the Orion Nebula that actually looked like the real photos online. Anyone else find that spending the cash on tracking gear saved you from hating your deep sky results?

You ever hear about my buddy Steve? He spent months trying to get Andromeda with just a tripod and a DSLR. Total blurry mess every time. Finally caved and bought a used iOptron SkyGuider Pro. First shot he stacked was so crisp he actually cried a little. Now he brings that thing to every dark site trip we do.
