Thought pour over coffee was just a hobby for snobs, then I tried it for 2 weeks straight
I always used a $20 drip machine until my roommate in Portland left his Chemex on the counter last month, and now I honestly can't go back because the drip stuff tastes like wet cardboard to me, so has anyone else switched and regretted it or is it just me?

Went through the same thing after my sister left her pour over setup at my place over the holidays. Now I'm that person timing my pours with a little scale and everything, and my old drip machine is collecting dust in the cabinet. The worst part is when you're staying somewhere else and have to drink their normal coffee, it's just sad.
