Am I the only one who dropped $120 on a crockpot that turned pork shoulder into shoe leather?
Bought it on sale at target in kansas city about 4 months ago. First two meals were great. Then I followed a recipe that said 8 hours on low and the meat came out like a hockey puck. I checked the temp and it was hitting 210 degrees way too fast. Turns out my model runs hot. Now I only use it on warm or 4 hour settings. Wondering if anyone else has had a cheap slow cooker do this or if I just got a bad one. What do you do to test a new one before ruining dinner?
