Spent $150 on a meal delivery service and got nothing but bland mush for a week
Signed up for one of those meal prep companies thinking it'd save time and taste good. Everything came pre-portioned but the chicken was like rubber and the veggies were soggy. I could've bought groceries for three weeks with that cash. Anyone else try one of these and just end up ordering pizza by Thursday?

I tried HelloFresh a few years back and ended up with the same problem. What worked for me was switching to a local meal prep place that uses fresh ingredients from the farmers market nearby. The chicken was actually juicy and the veggies had crunch. Cost about $10 a meal but I could pick what I wanted each week.

Did you get the same brand I tried? I fell for one of those nationwide services last winter and every meal tasted like it was boiled in a bag. The chicken had that weird spongy texture and the broccoli was basically mush by day three. I ended up tossing half of it and getting takeout, which defeated the whole purpose. It's a shame because the idea sounds great on paper but the execution is just awful.
