Man, same thing happened to me last summer. I got cocky and skipped sifting a few buckets because I was in a hurry, and I almost missed a tiny glass bead from the 1800s. Never making that mistake again, now I sift every single bucket no matter how tired I am.

Wait, is this really a thing people have to deal with? I used to think sifting EVERY bucket was just extra work for no reason, like you could spot big stuff by eye. But then I saw a post where someone lost a tiny Roman coin because they got lazy and skipped a few buckets. That changed my mind real quick. Now I get it - you have to sift everything or you're just gambling with history. Better safe than sorry, I guess.

gambling with history" is the perfect way to put it lol. I used to be the same way, thought I could spot everything. But missing one tiny thing makes you feel like an idiot, so now I sift everything too.
