Vent: the bur oak in my neighbor's yard on Maple Street almost came down on a parked car, and I finally got the go-ahead to deadwood it
Three weeks ago I noticed a big dead limb hanging over the driveway at the house two doors down, and the owner kept saying he'd deal with it himself. After I showed him the crack at the branch collar and told him my insurance guy would call it a known hazard, he hired me on the spot to take out the deadwood and cable the split. Anyone here ever had a client sit on a hazard tree that long, and how do you price the cable work so it doesn't feel like a whole second job?

Used to skip cabling, now I always price it as its own job.
