Rant: my 2019 stump grinder threw its drive belt mid job in Boise and I finished the last 3 stumps with a hand saw
Had a job lined up in Boise last Thursday, six stumps in a backyard, nothing crazy. Got through three of them and the drive belt on my grinder just shredded. No warning, no squeal, it was done. I did not have a spare on the truck, which is on me. The homeowner did not care about my problems, so I grabbed the 30 inch hand saw and cut the last three root balls by hand. Took me four extra hours and my forearms were toast. Anyone got a spare belt setup they actually trust, or am I the only one running out there without a backup?
