Pro tip: I thought those new climbing rope bags were just extra gear until a job in Portland.
Had a big maple removal last week with a tight backyard. Always just coiled my rope on the ground before. Tried a buddy's rope bag, the kind with the tarp built in. Kept everything clean and untangled, no dirt or leaves. Saved me probably 15 minutes of fussing. Anyone else switch to a bag and find it actually worth it?

Which brand did your buddy have? I've been looking at them but some seem flimsy for real work. That 15 minutes saved sounds legit for messy jobs.

Totally get what you mean about flimsy ones. My buddy swears by the ToughBuilt brand, and I borrowed his for a drywall patch last month. The thing didn't wobble at all when I had a full bucket of mud on it. That extra stability meant I could just focus on spreading instead of steadying the whole setup. Have you checked out their stuff yet?
