Just realized I was way off on pruning oak trees
Always thought you had to seal oak cuts right away to prevent oak wilt. Watched a county forester in Ohio do a demo last month and he said don't seal anything, just paint the wound if anything. Took me 15 years of doing it wrong before I saw that.

Sealers trap moisture and rot way worse than any disease ever could.

Yeah @jackson.matthew you might be onto something there, I used to swear by the stuff but you changed my mind.
