Took me 3 days to find a leaky ice maker valve on a Samsung fridge

Last month I had a Samsung side by side where the ice maker was making this faint hissing sound. Customer thought it was the compressor so I swapped that out first, big mistake. Turns out the water line valve was dripping just enough to freeze over the fill tube. It took me three visits and about 6 hours total before I finally caught it with a flashlight and a mirror. Has anyone else dealt with a slow leak that only shows up after 24 hours of running?

Six hours to catch a drip is wild, I would have given up after the second trip and blamed the humidity sensor.
