Three hours to replace a washing machine belt... shoulda been 20 minutes
Turns out someone before me used a random bolt instead of the right tension spring and I had to fight that thing forever before giving up and cutting it off. Ever run into a previous repair that made you want to track down whoever did it?

Three washers ago I found a popsicle stick holding the drain pump together. That repair guy should get a special place in hell.

Saw a post the other day about a guy finding a wire hanger holding a washing machine drum in place. These repair dudes really be out here doing the most questionable stuff. A popsicle stick is wild though, like that thing is gonna hold up against any kind of spin cycle pressure. That's not a repair, that's a ticking time bomb. I bet it worked for like a month then left water everywhere. Honestly the worst part is they charge you full price for that garbage. Hope that appliance finally gave out and took his reputation with it.
