Customer's dog vs my tool bag, and I'm honestly not sure who lost
Lady in Tampa told me her labradoodle was friendly, so I picked the bag up off the floor versus leaving it by the fridge, and that dog stole my 5/16 nut driver and buried it in the backyard before I got her dryer belt back on, so now I'm out $12 and one very smug dog.
Oh man, I feel this in my soul. Had a golden retriever do the same thing to me last summer, except he grabbed my channel locks and took off through the screen door before I even got my meter out of the truck. I spent twenty minutes crawling around this lady's flower bed while she kept saying "he's never done that before" like I was making it up. Found the pliers half buried next to a tomato plant and the dog just sat there watching me like he won a prize. I started keeping a cheap spare set in the truck just for dog houses after that, because you can't win an argument with a labradoodle and you sure can't get that twelve bucks back.
