Can we talk about sub vs dub and how I flipped after 3 episodes of Frieren?

I used to be hardcore subs only for about 8 years. Then last month my buddy Dave in Columbus told me to try the Frieren dub because he swears the voice actor for Fern nails the quiet moments. I gave it 3 episodes and honestly I liked it more than I expected. But here is the thing, I went back and watched those same 3 episodes subbed and the jokes landed way harder for me. So now I'm stuck in this weird spot where I switch back and forth depending on the show and it feels chaotic. Does anyone else have a rule for picking one over the other or do you just go with whichever feels right in the moment?
