Wireless vs. hardwired contacts, the $450 mistake that changed my install approach
I swapped a full hardwired job in Portland for wireless sensors last month to save time on a trim-out, but spent 3 extra hours fighting interference from the metal studs and had to redo half the zones. The customer was happy in the end, but I'm wondering if the speed gain is ever worth the troubleshooting for you guys, or do you stick with the old stuff no matter what?

So did the "time saved" math include those 3 hours of chasing ghosts through metal studs? Wireless is great until a wall turns into a faraday cage and suddenly you're the one getting zapped.
