Coworker's torque wrench got chucked across the hangar this morning

We're doing a flap gearbox swap on a 737 at KDEN and my partner snapped a 3/8" drive adapter mid-torque cycle, so he flung the whole assembly across the floor in frustration. Turns out the adapter was a cheap no-name from a gas station kit, not the Snap-on set we normally use. Anyone else had a tool failure that made you stop and double check every other adapter in your box?

Mid-torque cycle" and then he chucks it. That's classic. But come on man, a gas station adapter on a 737 flap gearbox is asking for trouble. I'd be rechecking every cheap tool in my box too, especially the sockets.
