20 years in and I just learned I was torquing lug nuts backwards
After two decades of turning them counter-clockwise to tighten, a young kid on the line in Tulsa finally pointed out my torque wrench was set to reverse and I never noticed, has anyone else had that moment where a newbie embarrassed your whole career?

Ha, been there man. First thing I'd do is check your wrench calibration too, cuz if you been running it backwards for that long who knows what else got messed up. Little trick I learned is to mark the direction with a paint pen so you never gotta guess again.
