My neighbor's 2-minute tip fixed my sad frozen fries forever
Last month my neighbor saw me pulling out a bag of frozen fries and said "toss them in a little cornstarch first." Tried it that night, just a teaspoon for a whole basket, and they came out so crispy my kids asked if I bought them from a restaurant. Anyone else got a weird one-off trick from a stranger that stuck with you?

Bet that cornstarch trick works about as well as my neighbor's advice to "just add more butter" to fix a burnt casserole. Guess we're all one weird tip away from gourmet status, huh?
