My air fryer basket went flying into the sink and I still made dinner out of it
So I was pulling the basket out to shake the wings last Wednesday and the handle just gave out. Whole tray flipped, wings hit the sink, grease everywhere. 12 wings, $9 worth of meat, gone. I stood there for a second and almost ordered pizza. Then I grabbed the wings, rinsed them fast, patted them dry with paper towels, and threw them back in with fresh seasoning. 400 degrees, 22 minutes, flipping once. Honestly they came out crispy and nobody at the table knew anything happened. I checked the handle after and two screws had backed out completely, so I tightened them and it's fine now. Has anyone else had a basket handle fail mid cook? Wondering if I should just replace the whole unit or if tightening it is enough.
