Vent: Wasted $40 on a fancy coffee subscription
Signed up for Bean Voyage last month. Their ads looked amazing. Tried three blends and they all tasted burnt. $40 down the drain for 12 oz bags I couldn't finish. Has anyone actually liked their stuff or am I the only one burned?

Used to think those fancy subscriptions were just better than store stuff, but your post kinda clicked for me. I tried a similar subscription a while back, three bags from different roasters, and every single one tasted like I was licking an ashtray. Honestly it made me wonder if they're just roasting everything darker than what I actually like, or if my pallette is just not that fancy. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather grab a bag from the local grocery that's actually fresh and not burnt.
