DAE think a $12 pour over beats a $300 espresso machine for daily home use?
A buddy in Portland let me mess with his fancy setup for a weekend and by Sunday I was begging for my plain cone filter back, because for one or two cups the fuss of dialing in a machine is way too much work for coffee that honestly tastes about the same, so who else just stuck with the cheap pour over and never looked back?
Wait, your buddy in Portland has a $300 machine and you spent a whole weekend there? Man, that is some serious coffee dedication for someone who just wanted his cone filter back. I get it though, all that dialing in is a lot of work when a simple pour over gets you close enough for a Tuesday morning.
