Spent $500 on a local radio spot that got me zero calls

I run a small property management company and bought a midday ad on a popular station here in Phoenix. The sales rep promised it would reach my target audience of local homeowners. After the ad ran for a month, I got exactly zero leads from it. The money just vanished. Has anyone else had a radio ad completely flop, or did I just pick the wrong time slot?

Midday radio in Phoenix is a tough sell for homeowners. Most people are at work or driving for lunch, not thinking about property management. I mean, maybe a targeted online ad would have worked better for that audience.

Ever try to sell a snowblower in Phoenix? That's what midday property ads feel like. You're just hitting empty offices and people zoning out on their commutes. My buddy wasted a grand on radio spots before he figured out nobody's listening to ads about gutters at noon.

Heard a similar story from a buddy who runs a plumbing service. He dropped a few hundred on drive-time ads and got the same silent phone.
