That's really cool. Those conversations with people who've seen a lot of different jobs can totally shift how you look at your own work. Makes you think about the bigger picture, you know?

Totally agree about how those talks can shift your view. My buddy who does graphic design had a long coffee with his uncle, a guy who fixed farm equipment his whole life. The uncle said his job wasn't about wrenches, it was about keeping the whole farm's schedule on track for harvest. My friend said it blew his mind. He realized his own work wasn't just making pretty pictures, it was about helping a small business owner get their message out to stay open. It really changed how he talks to his clients now.
