A radio ad guy in Phoenix told me his 30 second spot gets 8 words of recall, and I can't quit thinking about it
I was talking to a media buyer at a lunch thing in Phoenix last week and he said the average listener only remembers about 8 words from a 30 second radio spot. He pulled up a study from the Radio Advertising Bureau on his phone that backed it up, and I just sat there doing the math on some of the scripts we've shipped this quarter. So now I'm wondering, do you write your spots tighter knowing recall is that low, or do you figure repetition across a flight makes up for it?
