Showerthought: my rear diff let go 30 miles outside Flagstaff on a Sunday and I limped it home in 4 low

Went out for a quick run on a forest road off Route 66 last Sunday and heard a clunk that I felt more than heard. Pulled the cover and found metal flakes and one chewed up spider gear, so 4 wheel drive was done for good. I ended up crawling 30 miles back to town in 4 low at like 25 mph the whole way, which took almost two hours. Coasted into my driveway, and now it's sitting there dripping gear oil on the concrete. Anybody got a good source for a rebuilt chunk, or am I better off just swapping the whole axle?
