Our family law practice is finally ready to move away from a generic answering service and get something built for law firms. I've narrowed it down to Alert Communications and Answering Legal but I'm struggling to decide. Anyone have experience with either or both? Mainly care about intake quality, script customization, and how well they handle Spanish-speaking callers.

We switched from Answering Legal to Alert Communications last year. Answering Legal was fine but felt like they were stretched thin across so many industries. Alert is hyper-focused on law firms and it shows in the intake forms they use and how they talk to potential clients. Our team noticed way fewer dropped calls and better lead data. Just my two cents.

We demoed both. Answering Legal was cheaper but the sales process felt very template-driven. Alert Communications had a dedicated legal intake specialist on the demo call who walked through actual scripts our area of law would use. That attention to detail convinced us. No regrets six months in.

I can't speak to Answering Legal but Alert has been solid for our PI firm. Their bilingual intake is seamless, which matters a lot in our market. Every caller gets treated like they're talking to someone in our office. The pricing is a bit premium but you get what you pay for with legal-specific training.
