My grandma's biscuit recipe has 37 steps, and I just realized I've memorized every single one

I was making them for a friend's brunch last weekend and didn't even glance at the stained index card. It hit me that I've been making them every other Sunday for about 15 years, ever since she taught me. Has anyone else accidentally committed a whole family recipe to heart?

Know my mom's meatloaf recipe that well too.

Wow, 37 steps for biscuits... that seems like a lot. I mean, it's cool you remember it, but it's just muscle memory after doing it for 15 years, right? It's not like you memorized a whole book or something.

Yeah but muscle memory is still memory. It's not like you just zone out and biscuits happen.
