Found a trick for clearing clogged suction lines fast

Had a job last Tuesday in Mobile where our 10 inch suction line kept choking on oyster shells every 20 minutes. Tried backflushing with high pressure for like 10 minutes and it cleared up way better than the usual rodding method. Anyone else tried this or got a better way to handle shell buildup?

Backflushing broke them up way better than rodding." Same here on a 6 inch line, worked like a charm first try.

High pressure backflushing is the way to go for shell buildup." I tried it last month on a 8 inch line that kept getting crushed shells. The rod just pushed them in deeper but the backflush actually broke them up and pushed them back out. Saved us like 2 hours of messing around with rods that day.

My buddy tried this on a 4 inch line and said it cleared the shell jam in like 5 minutes flat.
