My bathroom floor tile choice came down to porcelain or ceramic
I was redoing the guest bathroom in my house and got stuck on the floor tile. The guy at the hardware store said porcelain is tougher and better for wet areas, but it costs about $1.50 more per square foot than ceramic. I went with the porcelain because I have kids and their bathroom is a mess. It's been six months and the floor still looks brand new, even with all the water splashes. Anyone have a good trick for cleaning the grout lines on this stuff without scrubbing forever?

Got a steam cleaner for our porcelain tile and it was a total game changer. You just run it over the grout lines and the dirt and soap scum lift right off. I tried all the sprays and brushes before that and it was endless scrubbing. The steam does the hard work for you, plus it's just hot water so no harsh chemicals around the kids. My floors have never looked cleaner and it takes me half the time now.

Buying a whole steam cleaner just for some grout lines seems like overkill. It's a bathroom floor, not a surgery room. A stiff brush and some cleaner you already have under the sink works fine if you just do it more than once a year. The steam thing sounds like a solution for a problem most people don't really have.
