Neighbor's one-liner made me quit my 7-layer lasagna habit
My neighbor Tom saw me hauling 4 lbs of ricotta and said 'you know you can just roast a chicken, right?' and for some reason that hit different than all the recipe blogs. I tried his simple salt and pepper bird with carrots last Tuesday and dinner took 20 minutes of actual work. Anyone else have a stranger simplify their whole meal plan?

Man, that one line would probably wreck me too lol. My sister said something similar about pasta sauce once and now I barely ever make the 3 hour version. Sometimes the simple stuff just hits better.
