Pro tip: That coworking space membership I was sure would be a waste of money actually paid off fast
I was super skeptical about dropping $200 a month on a WeWork pass in Austin last spring. I thought id just end up sitting in coffee shops like always for free. But after three weeks of trying to take client calls from a noisy Starbucks parking lot I caved. Turns out having a stable desk and reliable wifi actually helped me land two new contracts within a month. Has anyone else had a digital nomad expense they thought was stupid but ended up being worth it?

Yeah, you know what, I was wrong about that coworking thing.

Haven't we all spent way more on stuff like that just because the coffee shop vibe got old? I mean $200 a month is still a lot for a desk and wifi but I guess if it pays for itself in contracts then it's whatever. But let's be real, you could've just bribed the Starbucks barista for a corner table and saved the cash.

Honestly, @val949, didn't you end up caving on something similar too? For me it was a cheap RV park membership. I was dead set on boondocking for free everywhere, but after a month of sketchy cell service and no electricity I paid $300 for a year pass. Totally worth it just for the peace of mind and a hot shower after a long day.
