That one comment from a gallery owner about my digital landscape
I was showing some of my digital art at a small local showcase in Portland last spring, and this older gallery owner walked up to my booth. She pointed at one of my sunset pieces and said 'the colors are nice but the clouds look like they were made in a microwave instead of the sky.' It stung at first but honestly she was right. I spent the next 2 weeks studying real cloud photos and redoing my brush technique. Has anyone else gotten a critique that totally changed how you approach a specific element in your art?

But they made in a microwave" is such a specific burn that you kinda have to respect it. Sounds like she did you a favor honestly, cloud textures are harder than people think. Not sure I'd restructure whole technique over one random comment though.
