Am I the only one who thinks a basic Wacom tablet beats a fancy screen tablet for line art?

I spent two months saving up for an XP-Pen screen tablet for my digital portraits... thought it would make everything easier. But the parallax drove me crazy and my lines came out all shaky. Swapped back to my old Intuos S for a study session last week and the control felt way better. Has anyone else hit this wall where simpler gear just works better for clean linework?

Wait, your Intuos S has shortcut buttons? Mine's the bare bones model with no buttons at all. Guess I'm lucky I only use it for line art then, huh? The parallax thing is real though. I swear my screen tablet made my lines look like I was having a seizure compared to my old Wacom. Sometimes the cheap stuff just works better for the basics.

Does your Intuos S have those shortcut buttons on the side?

My old Intuos M from like 2014 still works but the surface is all scratched up from years of heavy use. I remember dropping it once and the corner cracked but it never stopped working. For line art I actually switched to using a mechanical pencil on paper then scanning it in. The tablet just didnt feel right for crisp lines after a while.
