Leaky injector cup at a Love's in Ohio changed my whole rebuild process
Stopped at the Love's off I-70 near Columbus last spring to fix a rough idle on a 6.0. Pulled the valve cover and saw coolant pooling in the injector cup, not oil. That truck had a fresh head gasket job done 8 months prior by a shop in Nashville. Turns out they never pressure tested the cups after install, tiny crack only showed up at operating temp. Now I always run a coolant pressure test with the cups dry before I put the rail back on. Cost me 5 hours on the side of the lot but saved the driver a tow. Anyone else had a hidden cup crack slip past after a gasket job?
