Crank bolt tool I was sure was junk, now it lives in my box
I fought with a harmonic balancer on a 6.7 Cummins last month in Columbus. Friend handed me this cheap crank holding tool, one of those universal bars with sliding pins. I told him no way that holds. It held damn solid through a 350 ft-lb torque sequence. Cost 40 bucks at the local truck parts place. Broke my old chain wrench years ago doing the same job. Anybody else find tools they swore were gimmicks actually work out in the field? What was it?
