Vent: the 10 for $10 sale at my Kroger cost me $23 and I'm still mad about it
Last Saturday I walked into Kroger in Akron for milk and eggs and saw the 10 for $10 mix and match sale, so I grabbed 10 items thinking I'd save a few bucks. Cashier rang it up and my total was $23 because half the stuff I grabbed wasn't even part of the deal, the tags were just sitting near the sale shelf. So now I'm stuck on this: is it worth it to slow down and read every shelf tag, or do you just grab what looks good and eat the cost? I feel like stores do this on purpose but my wife says I'm just not paying attention. How do you all handle these mix and match deals without getting burned at the register?
