Rant: my paper chore chart lost to a dry erase board on the fridge
I spent two Sundays in a row drawing a cute little chore chart on printer paper with star stickers for my three kids, and both sheets were torn and lost behind the couch by Wednesday. Last week I got fed up and stuck a $12 dry erase board on the fridge with a magnet, and the kids have actually been crossing off their jobs without me nagging. Part of it is they love the squeaky marker, but I think seeing the whole week at a glance keeps them from forgetting. My 7 year old even added a column for "feed the dog" that I never asked for. Anyone else ditch paper for a board and have it stick, or does the novelty wear off after a month?
