Figured out why my 2 minute commute was taking 25 minutes, and it was one dumb thing
I drive 1.2 miles to my shop every morning and somehow kept rolling in 20 to 25 minutes late. I blamed traffic on Riverside for about two years, which was dumb of me since there is barely any traffic at 6:40am. Last Tuesday I actually counted what was eating the time and it was my phone alarm routine: snooze twice, then sit on the edge of the bed reading three different apps before I even stood up. So I started putting the phone across the room on the dresser and setting one alarm with no snooze. First morning I was at the shop in 8 minutes, including scraping ice. Turns out I never had a commute problem, I had a sitting-on-the-bed problem. Anyone else fix their morning by just moving one object like 6 feet?
