Showerthought: I blew $75 on a cat water fountain and my cat still drinks from my glass
About 4 months ago I dropped $75 on one of those fancy stainless steel cat water fountains because my vet said my cat Milo wasn't drinking enough. I set the whole thing up, watched him sniff it once, and he walked away. For 3 weeks he ignored it completely. Then last Tuesday I caught him drinking out of my water glass on the nightstand while the $75 fountain bubbled away in the corner like an idiot. So now I just leave a glass of water on the floor for him and he drinks it fine. The fountain is currently sitting in my garage next to a $40 scratching post he also never touched. I am starting to think cats just want whatever they are not supposed to have. Has anyone else spent real money on a pet thing that got ignored for a free alternative?
