My cat's new obsession is the lint roller
I was reading an old pet blog from 2015 and found out that cats have about 32 muscles in each ear. My cat, Gus, has been using all of them lately to track the sound of the lint roller. He hears the velcro rip and comes running to attack it, which is way more effort than he puts into his actual toys. Anyone else's pet fixated on a totally random household object?

Lint rollers are a legit cat toy though, not random at all. The sound is like prey rustling and the sticky surface mimics catching bugs. My old cat would ignore feather wands but go nuts for packing tape. It's just a different kind of hunt, way more interesting than some boring plastic ball.

Honestly the sticky side of packing tape is the real MVP for weird cat games.

Yeah the sticky side of packing tape thing is so real. My buddy's cat got obsessed with the plastic window on an amazon envelope, would spend hours trying to murder that crinkly bubble.
