My cat finally figured out the cat door after 2 weeks of staring at it

I installed one of those magnetic flap cat doors in my kitchen last month and my 4 year old tabby Mochi just stood there meowing at it every day. Yesterday she accidentally pushed through while chasing a fly and now she wont stop going in and out like she owns the place. Has anyone else had a pet that took forever to get a simple thing?

Oh absolutely, I trained her to be stubborn... it's not like she came that way and I'm just her obedient servant or anything. I swear, she'll sit on my keyboard and stare at me until I give her the good treats, and I just fold like a cheap lawn chair. People say you can't train a cat, but mine has me perfectly trained to open the door for her at 3 AM. Honestly, she's the boss and I'm just here paying the rent.

My 8 year old husky mix took 3 months to figure out a dog door that was literally just a flap of rubber. She would stand there with her face pressed against it trying to look outside and whined until I opened the sliding door for her like a chump. One day a squirrel ran right past her into the yard and she finally just dove through, now she's been using it nonstop for 5 years.
