Switched from After Effects to DaVinci Resolve for motion graphics and it changed my whole workflow

I spent 3 years grinding in After Effects for client work but got tired of the constant crashes on my 6 year old laptop. A buddy in a Chicago editing crew showed me how fast DaVinci's Fusion tab handles text animations and keyframes without bogging down my system. Has anyone else made the switch and found a better way to organize their project bins in Resolve?

My buddy Tom who does titles for local commercials switched over about a year ago. His old laptop had 8 gigs of RAM and After Effects would just give up halfway through a render. He told me the same thing about the bins - he just slaps a red label on all his graphic comps and a green one on video layers. Said it felt dumb at first but now he can't work without it. I think he's got like 40 different color codes at this point but hey whatever works.

Bins just color code everything by type like that buddy said, it saves my butt on busy weeks.

The Fusion tab runs so clean on my aging machine it's almost suspicious. For bins, just color code everything by type right off the bat. Saves you from digging through a mess later. I tag all my text comps with a blue marker too. Makes finding stuff a lot less painful.
