Lady tried to return a half-used bag of concrete mix last Tuesday

I'm a concrete contractor and this woman comes into the supply yard holding a torn 60-pound bag that's maybe 40 pounds now. She said she only used half and wanted her money back for the rest because she 'didn't need it anymore.' I had to explain that once you open a bag of cement, it's basically a one-way trip. She got mad and said the bag should have a resealable zipper like dog food. Has anyone else had a customer try to return something that just doesn't work that way?

Oh man, this takes me back... had a guy try to bring back a half-used tube of construction adhesive because his project was done and he "wasn't gonna need the rest." He was dead serious too, stood there arguing for ten minutes about how it should say on the label that it's non-returnable after opening. Like, buddy, that's just common sense.

Did she actually expect you to weigh the bag and give her store credit for what wasn't used? Like what was the endgame there, she wanted you to scoop out the remaining mix and put it in a smaller bag? I gotta ask, did she argue about the shelf life too or was it just the zipper thing that set her off?

Lol reminds me of the guy who tried to return a half eaten bag of chips because he didn't like the flavor.
