Can we talk about how I finally stopped rushing my first spring in Stardew
I used to treat spring year 1 like a speedrun, planting 40 parsnips on day 1 and stressing about hitting fishing level 6 before the egg festival. Then my roommate watched me play for like 10 minutes and said "dude you look miserable, it's a farming game." So last save I only planted 12 parsnips, spent rainy days just wandering the beach and talking to Linus, and somehow I hit summer with more money than my old rush runs ever had. Turns out not min-maxing the first season made me actually remember the villagers' names and look forward to playing instead of dreading the grind. Anyone else have a moment where they realized playing slow was the real strat?
