Just realized I might be the only stylist who hates airbrush makeup
I was at a bridal expo downtown last Sunday and every booth was pushing airbrush foundation for weddings. I mean, I get it looks smooth in photos but I've had three clients over the past two years where it cracked up bad by the reception. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather stick with a good cream foundation and setting spray that I can touch up fast. Anyone else find airbrush more hassle than it's worth?

Yeah, you had that happen too? I was doing touch ups at my cousin's wedding last summer and the airbrush on the bridesmaids just started peeling off around their noses after dinner. We were wiping sweat off and it came with it. I don't get why everyone's so sold on it, cream foundation with a good powder on top never let me down like that. I'd rather spend the extra five minutes blending than deal with that mess again.

Oh come on, is it really that serious? I mean yeah it sucks when makeup does that but it's not like you're painting a car or something. A little touch up and you're good to go. I've seen bridesmaids with way worse problems than some nose peeling at a wedding. Like someone's cousin getting drunk and falling into the cake is a real crisis. Plus if you're doing touch ups anyway just bring a little powder with you. It's not the end of the world.

I just dab a little setting spray on a sponge and press it back down before it dries out completely. That trick saved me more times than I can count working events where people are sweating under hot lights. Honestly half the problem is people layering the airbrush too thick in the first place, thin coats and let it dry between passes.
