Took me 4 hours to figure out the city council meeting minutes were posted under a different name
So last month I got into this thing with a buddy about a zoning vote near the fairgrounds in my town, and he kept saying the vote was hidden from the public. I figured I could just pull up the meeting minutes and prove him wrong in about 20 minutes. It took me closer to 4 hours. Turns out my city posts the minutes under the board name instead of "city council," so the search on the site kept coming back empty. I clicked through like 30 pages of agendas before I got a tip from a clerk's office voicemail that they file it as "land use hearing." Once I typed that in, boom, everything showed up in one search, and the vote was right there in plain sight the whole time. Honestly it made me wonder how many other "hidden" things are just filed in a dumb spot. Anybody else dig through local gov sites and find stuff buried under weird labels?
